Prenatal Harmony Non Invasive Blood Tests

Prenatal Harmony non-invasive blood tests

For many of our patients this is the last stage in their journey with us.

Prenatal Harmony non invasive blood tests Fertility Ultrasound provides an ultrasound service with the doctors in  Arlington House Medical Centre to provide Harmony Prenatal Testing.

The harmony prenatal blood test is a simple non invasive maternal blood test that can check the risk to your pregnancy of having genetic conditions including Down’s syndrome (Trisomy 21), Trisomy 18 (Edward’s syndrome) and Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome).

Harmony prenatal testing in Arlington House Medical Centre includes an ultrasound scan and the Harmony Prenatal DNA test.

Harmony testing is more accurate than traditional tests and can be done between 10 and 14 weeks. There is also an option to evaluate the X and Y chromosomes ( find out the gender of your baby). Results are usually available within a week.

The ultrasound scan is the first scheduled appointment and is a 10-15 minute scan. The report is emailed directly to the GP in Arlington House. A quick blood test follows the ultrasound.

The following ultrasound assessment occurs

  • Confirm the presence of a single or multiple pregnancy.
  • Confirm the pregnancy is intrauterine.
  • Confirm the gestational age by assessing the size of the baby and gestational sac
    relative to your LMP.
  • Confirm the presence of a heartbeat.

Please contact Arlington House Medical Centre  on  091 794694 to schedule an appointment or email info@oranhealth.com

An ultrasound is scheduled prior to the blood test to confirm the pregnancy is viable, whether it is single or multiple, and to confirm cardiac activity.

We are happy to welcome your partner into these scans as we understand the limitations with partners attending ultrasound appointments with the ongoing covid regulations.
